VISAS
HUMANITARIAN VISA
It is free and is granted for 30 calendar days, for the following humanitarian grounds:
- Need of international protection covered by the Principle of Non-Refoulement
- Victim of human trafficking or other forms of exploitation
- Being companion of a ill person requiring medical treatment
VISA DIPLOMATICA / OFICIAL
Diplomatic or Official Visas are issue by the Consulate of Bolivia for those who wish to travel to Bolivia on official government business.
A diplomatic and official visa is issued to foreign citizens traveling to Bolivia in order to perform official duties on behalf of an institution or government.
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed application form
- Valid passport or travel document with a minimum validity of 6 months
- One recent 2" x 2" passport type photograph
- Request letter from International Organization (World Bank, IDB, IMF) or any United States federal executive departments (Department of State, Commerce, Justice)
COURTESY VISA
A Courtesy Visa is granted to foreigners invited by public Institutions in order to carry out activities of interest to the State.
A Courtesy Visa is granted for up to sixty (60) calendar days and is directed to foreign citizens invited by public institution in Bolivia, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in order to carry out activities of interest to the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
REQUIREMENTS
- Completed Application Form
- Valid passport with a minimum validity of 6 months
- One recent 2" x 2" passport type photograph
- Invitation issued by a public institution of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
MULTIPLE VISA
Multiple Entry Visas are issued for a period of one (1) year and are renewable for similar periods to foreign citizens that engage in investment or business activities to periodically enter and exit Bolivian territory.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Completed Sworn Statement form Visa Application
- Original Passport with at least 6 months of validity
- One recent 2" x 2" passport type photograph
- Fee of $200.00
- Current certificate of good conduct / background check issued by INTERPOL
- Legalized documentation of the constitution of the company that you represent in your country of origin or country of residence
- Certified photocopy of the Tax Identification Number (NIT) or original electronic certification if the company was established in Bolivia.
