DEATH RECORD

It is the request made before the Civil Registry Officer to register the death of a relative.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Passport or identity card of the deceased's relative. A third person may register the death through a Special Power granted by the relative.
  2. Death certificate duly Apostilled.
  3. Translated death certificate. The Death Certificate must be translated into Spanish, the Consulate General of Bolivia in Washington DC may perform the translation (See translation procedure).

COST:

  • Death registration in Death Books, with the right to a Certificate. (The transcription of the registration to the Family Book is free): $ 10.00.
  • Legalization of signature on Death Certificate not granted by the Consul, of a Bolivian person (original or photocopy): $ 15.00.
  • Translation of Marriage Certificate not issued by the Consulate: $ 10.00
